Bullet-pointed non-sequiturs I'm only posting because I'm avoiding academic obligations.

• I have a medium-sized fear that I'll have an interview for a job someday, a real opportunity in photojournalism, and they'll ask me to name my favorite photographer, and I'll say Henri Martinie, just because I've spent so much time with his pictures.
• I got to visit the ARCP (Atelier de Restauration et Conservation des Photographies de la Ville de Paris) today, on the top floor of the Maison Européen de la Photographie with my maîtress de stage, and on the way back I was trying to describe something to her and had trouble pronouncing a difficult word in French, and realized I was sick of the subject of so many of my conversations with my coworkers being my difficulties with French, and she took the opportunity to tell me that the word that's hardest for her to say in English is "psychiatrist", which was the perfect thing to share with me at the moment. How did she know?
  
• I've started to retort with "Mon accent est jolie, quoi?" at my coworkers when they make fun of me or pretend not to understand what I am saying. It's a lie. We know.
