Things that happened at work today
- The glass-plate negative of this (incredibly famous) picture was sitting on my desk and I have no idea why. Did someone want to share it with me because they thought I'd think it was cool? Did they just need a place to set it down temporarily? I don't know. But, cool.
- Denis realized for the first time that I'm from the states.
Denis: "Je ne savais pas. Le Marais? Marseilles?"
Me: "Marseilles, tu pensais?"
Stephen: "En fait, Denis, il ne pense pas beaucoup."
Don't worry about translating all of that if you don't speak French because it's not nearly as amazing as what Denis said later that afternoon when I walked by his desk:
"Sarah, tu es un rayure de soleil de Floride."
- I ate a piece of unpasteurized, untested French cheese because Stephen dared me to. He said he'd been around students from universities all over the US and none of them had ever dared to try it. It was delicious, and now he thinks I'm courageous.

That's a fabulous compliment. The sunshine in Boston has disappeared, but I'm trying my best to keep my thoughts elevated.
¡Viva la revolución! And again, Science of Sleep.
Good for you...spreading your sunshine...although I miss you here in Florida!!
By the way, I love that photograph! Are there copies for sale?
